Ryder was a being manifested from Piper Halliwell's dreams. He is based on a character from one of her favorite soap operas. According to Piper, he was the perfect man for any girl. During her pregnancy, she began dreaming of him.

Ryder materialized to Piper when a Tracer Demon sprinkled the sisters with an overdose of dream dust and the main characters in their dreams manifested in the real world. Leo was quite upset to see Piper with another man, and they together had him locked up in a crystal cage along with the Chainsaw Killer and Slappy in the conservatory.
To make their manifestations disappear, the Charmed Ones decided to revisit their dreams and confront their problems. When Piper gave in to her desire for Ryder in her dream, she discovered the real man behind his mask was her husband, Leo Wyatt: she had been longing for the way Leo swept her off her feet before her pregnancy, as opposed to his more gingerly attention toward her and the baby since, and to her Ryder represented that passion. After this confrontation, Ryder in the real world disappeared with a salute.
Physical Description[]
Ryder was a tall and handsome man, with dark brown hair and brown eyes. He had a small facial spot on the right side of his cheek. During his short time in the real world and Piper's dream, he donned a black suit that emphasized romance.
