Ryan Tobias is a secondary antagonist in the novel, High Spirits. He is the heir of Tobias Multinational with a bad reputation.
History[]
Ryan was forced by his family to settle down and rebuild his reputation before he could be allowed to inherit his family fortune. Ryan chose Cassie as his bride due to her heroic act, but never actually cared for her.
When Ryan noticed that Kevin Peterson showed an interest in Cassie, the man plotted with Karl to discredit him to destroy any chance he had of making his move on Cassie, including setting her bedroom on fire and locking two people in a closet.
His ambitions intrigued a demon named X'ahroth, who planned to take Ryan's life and use his political influence and power to slowly enslave mankind, with his magic to make it happen. When X'ahroth kidnapped all of the guests at Maxwell Manor, he trapped them in their own dream worlds filled with their desires to keep them from trying to escape. In Ryan's case, he had claimed his family fortune and led a life of debauchery and excess rarely known in modern life, with none of his relatives present.
After the demon was vanquished and all memory of magic erased, Ryan tried to snag Cassie away from Kevin, only to be knocked on the jaw and dumped by Cassie.
Physical Appearance[]
According to description, Ryan has dark hair, long and sharp facial features that resemble a Japanese anime character. His eyes are unnaturally big and round, but could turn tiny and beady easily. He also has a goatee.
Ryan wears expensive clothing that show his wealth.
Personality[]
Raised in a wealthy family, Ryan is known to be obnoxious, greedy, selfish and uncaring of anyone's interests but his own. He aims to inherit all of his family's inheritance and enjoy debauchery. He dated Cassie solely for public image.
