Delia-Miller

Delia Miller, a new student at Magic School.

A hospitalized girl wakes up on her hospital bed at San Francisco Memorial Hospital. She remembers something that happened earlier.

At Halliwell Manor, Piper is cooking for her son, Wyatt, when Sandra orbs in and tells her about Delia, a new witch who has been hospitalized. Paige overhears this and orbs to the hospital with Piper. Upon arrival, Piper tells her she can't leave her son, so Paige orbs back to take the child while Piper is left to take care of Delia. A nurse comes in and Piper freezes her. Delia sees this. Piper takes her out of the hospital into a taxi where she explains everything.

Piper introduces Delia to her sisters. Phoebe is filled in on what is transpiring. Delia feels anxious about going to a new school, the fact that she is a magical witch, and being taken by strangers. They try to make her feel better and assure her they will take it one day at a time.

Paige proceeds to take Delia to Halliwell Academy. Paige brings her to a dorm room where she introduces Delia's roommate, Momo, and suggests giving her controlled meds to lower her dosage. Delia is left with her nonchalant roommate.

The next morning, Momo urges Delia to hurry to breakfast. Delia meets some students in the cafeteria, including Jenny Taylor. Jenny treats her coldly, so she leaves. She bumps into Ms. Ceratta, a potions teacher. While the woman appears nice, her words make Delia uncomfortable. Delia walks down the hall alone, feeling extremely lonely.

In class, Mr. Lewis discusses the vanquished demons. Jenny tells her knowledge about witches in the early days didn't believe demons were corporeal. They bring up other subjects, such as the Titans and Chaldean priestesses. Delia writes down notes. Delia befriends Marcus Lafayette, an empath and transgender male. He takes her to potions class where he is also headed.

In class, Delia tries to find a seat, but Momo places her bag on an empty seat, making the girl feel unwelcome. Ms. Ceratta calls out her students' names and accidentally slips "Jamie" rather than Marcus, making the boy uncomfortable. Ceratta then calls Delia up to the front of the class and presents her background to the others, making her so uncomfortable that she runs out of the classroom. Marcus comforts her. He reveals that he is an empath and knows her thoughts.

Delia continues to meet challenges in class, such as catching up to historical facts, literature and levitation class. While heading to class with books in her hands and a schedule on her mouth, she is called by Paige into her office. Kit jumps up on Delia's lap as she sits. Paige asks her about her first day at school, which she confesses has been a lot. They go over her records from her previous school, which barely has anything. Delia confesses she could sometimes see the future. Added by the fact that she has molecular manipulation. Paige tells her about her own drinking problems. Delia looks at the record book which shows information about Jenny being a wendigo. Paige covers it with her palm. Kit guides her back to her dorm room.

Delia sees both Jenny and Momo in the room. She tries to make conversation when she sees Momo's pony, but Jenny immediately gets defensive and cuts the conversation. Delia goes to sleep while Jenny and Momo hang out.

A few weeks later, in the conservatory at Halliwell Manor, Piper, Phoebe and Paige are hanging out. They are enjoying a rare quiet moment together. They start discussing Delia's progress. Their discussion moves on to Paige's new status as headmistress and her feeling like the school record book is trying to tell her something. They decide to watch a movie together.

Back at the academy, Delia and Marcus are studying in the library together. They read about the Black Plague, which was caused by rodents when the human population when they decimated a great number of cats while hunting witches. Delia suggests using Kit for their upcoming presentation, but Marcus tells her it would be counted as personal gain. Paige and Miss Donovan walk past them while discussing the record book's weird behavior: it keeps flipping to random students. Marcus and Delia overhear their conversation, especially when they suspect an empath may be among them. Delia, remembering the other night when the book showed her records on Jenny, asks Marcus about wendigos. Marcus tells her Jenny got scratched by a wendigo when she was a baby. Her parents sent her to Halliwell Academy to learn to master her gifts, and the Elders bound some of her wendigo aspects. Miss Donovan then reminds them it is time for their class, and they rush off to Mr. Lewis's class.

In potions class, Ms. Ceratta "unwittingly" embarrasses Delia and Marcus by saying they enjoy each other's company.

In the cafeteria, Delia sits with Marcus, and Momo secretly makes her bottle of milk explode, spilling all over the table. Paige is having lunch with her sisters. She asks Phoebe to look around the school for potential threats from out-of-control empaths. Phoebe walks around the school conversing with Delia and Marcus. Delia focuses her thoughts to tell Marcus they need to get out of Phoebe's reach, and he feigns a cough to give Delia reason to escape her. Phoebe then runs into Ms. Ceratta, whose undermining praising makes her feel uncomfortable.

In literature class, Mr. Monkeyshines teaches. Delia and Marcus tune him out. Marcus doodles on a piece of paper, which Monkeyshines notices and demands to see what he has written. Marcus swallows it. Delia and Marcus then escape the classroom. Mr. Monkeyshines hears their snide comment and punishes them with detention.

In detention on Sunday, Mr. Lewis has the students play a game of entanglement. Marcus collapses from being the bottom of the entanglement. The students are dismissed from detention. Delia and Marcus run into Jenny in the hallway. Jenny makes a rude comment about seeing Delia, who remarks with asking how to spell witch with a B. Jenny takes it badly, thinking it aimed at her being a "canine" and walks away angrily.

Marcus and Delia go to the former's dorm room where they talk. Marcus is out of tea bags, so Delia goes to the potions classroom to get some ingredients since the cafeteria is closed. She runs into Mr. Lewis, who comments she has been being very well as a student before going to meet "Aaron". Delia continues her way toward the potions classroom. When she opens the door, she sees Ms. Ceratta in the midst of absorbing negative emotions in a frightening manner. She closes the door and begins to run, but bumps into Jenny, who opens the door and sees the same thing. They both run towards Paige's office and tell Paige what they witnessed.

Paige takes them both to Halliwell Manor where they tell Piper and Phoebe what they saw. Piper calls for Leo then takes the boys to Mrs. Winterbourne while the others head up to the attic. They are having trouble figuring out what Ceratta is, especially since demons cannot penetrate the academy's defenses. Phoebe writes a vanquishing spell. Delia and Jenny suspect she may still be at the school if she didn't see them. The Halliwells and the students start brainstorming a plan. Paige takes the girls back to school and they head back to their dorms.

The next day, school continues and Delia does everything routinely. In potions class, Ms. Ceratta appears and magically bars the door. She knows someone saw her and plans to drain the entire class before leaving the school. She starts feeding off the students' fears, which empower her. The classroom transforms into a void and all the students are floating, unable to escape. Piper, Phoebe and Paige are in the principal's office trying to figure out what Ceratta is. They then feel something happening in the school and run to the potions classroom. Unfortunately, the door is magically blocked. Jenny arrives and combines her own magic to help. Once through, the sisters engage Ceratta in battle, but the woman is too strong. Piper tries an impromptu vanquishing spell, but it fails. Delia tells the students to concentrate, and Jenny casts the spell herself. The students' combined magic successfully destroys Ceratta.

Next week, Delia, Jenny, Momo, and Marcus are enjoying a dinner party at the Halliwells'. Delia is beginning to enjoy her new life as a witch and student at Halliwell Academy.
