"Well, we can't. But maybe Little Red Riding Hood can. I knew I was gonna have to put on this stupid thing sooner or later."
Piper to Leo and Grams.[src]

Little Red Riding Hood is a titular character based on the Fairy Tale of the same name. When the Evil Witch from the Magic Mirror brought the fairy tales to life, Piper Halliwell took the part of Little Red Riding Hood and faced the Big Bad Wolf.[1]

The Tale[]

The story revolves around a girl called Little Red Riding Hood, named after her red hooded cape/cloak that she wears. The girl walks through the woods to deliver food to her sickly grandmother.

A stalking wolf wants to eat the girl and the food in the basket. He asks her where she is going. She tells him. He suggests that she pick some flowers as a present for her grandmother, which she does. In the meantime, he goes to the grandmother's house and gains entry by pretending to be Riding Hood. He swallows the grandmother whole and waits for the girl, disguised as the grandmother. When the girl arrives, she notices that her grandmother looks very strange. She says, "What a deep voice you have!" ("The better to greet you with", responds the wolf), "Goodness, what big eyes you have!" ("The better to see you with", responds the wolf), "And what big hands you have!" ("The better to embrace you with", responds the wolf), and lastly, "What a big mouth you have" ("The better to eat you with!", responds the wolf), at which point the wolf jumps out of the bed and eats her, too. Then he falls asleep. A hunter comes to the rescue with an axe, and cuts open the sleeping wolf. Little Red Riding Hood and her grandmother emerge shaken, but unharmed. Then they fill the wolf's body with heavy stones. The wolf awakens and attempts to flee, but the stones cause him to collapse and die.

History[]

Some of the props of the fairy tale were kept in the Fairy Tales Fortress to protect them, keeping them safe for future generations including the red cloak.

Piper's Reenactment[]

Knowing that Piper was scrying for her, the Evil Witch placed a lock of her hair on the cloak from Little Red Riding Hood and left it for Piper to find. When she and Leo found it, Piper realized she had been led astray.

Meanwhile, the Big Bad Wolf attacked Grams and devoured her whole before taking her place. When Piper returned, she was unaware of the fact that she was talking to the wolf and was also devoured whole. When the wolf tried to escape, Piper blew it up from the inside with her power, freeing Grams and herself.

Piper later wore the cloak to enter the Fairy Tales Fortress and vanquished the Wicked Witch, after which she returned the cloak to the apprentice.
