Kari Corman was a character mentioned in the novel, Mist and Stone. She was Todd Corman's late mother.
History[]
Kari was pregnant with Todd when her boyfriend left and was forced to raise her son alone. Because she was a single parent, Kari concentrated on work to provide for her son and neglected to seek medical aid when she had a bacterial infection. Her condition worsened, and by the time she finally came to the hospital, it was too late. Kari died of the infection. Her son had been in foster care since.
Todd mentioned that Paige Matthews looked a little bit like her, which was what made him trust her.[1]
