Joe, also known as Patient X, is a mortal who was once part of an experiment using demonic blood on humans in an attempt to create powerful soldiers. He proved to be immune and his blood was later revealed to be the only cure when the failed experiment turned into a deadly virus that affected all magical creatures across the Magical Community.

History[]

At some time, the government came across a wounded demon in the desert and decided to study it to understand its nature and extract its powers for military purposes. He was injected with human blood, presumably, the government recruited a human test subject and injected him with demon blood. But because the latter didn't show any reactions, the project was shut down. When humans were deciding what to do with the demon, he escaped from the containment unit and started attacking magical creatures all around the magical community, infecting everyone he injured.

When Billie Jenkins was infected with a deadly virus, the Charmed Ones confronted Agent Murphy and learned the true origin of the virus. In order to locate Patient X, they infected themselves with the virus to enhance their powers in order to scry for Joe with an erased ID tag, as only his blood could cure it.

When they found Joe, he was attacked by Margoyle and his gang, though the Charmed Ones vanquished them with their brute strength. However, Margoyle himself managed to obtain a sample of Joe's blood and escaped. The sisters then used his blood to cure Billie and themselves, while the Elders used it to cure all magical beings infected.

Notes and Trivia[]

  • Joe's name was never mentioned onscreen.
  • Technically, having demonic blood in his circulatory system would have made Joe an artificially created half-demon. Supposedly, his immunity was what prevented him from turning.
