France, 1522
At the castle, the king is excited to see what Usta has sculpted for the kingdom to see. A human Djall brings in the sculpture. As Usta presents his artwork, Djall catches glance of a beautiful woman and loses his footing. The tarp covering the statue gets pulled down and reveals a beautiful sculpture of France's king. Everyone in the kingdom is enamored by the beautiful details. The king orders a feast too celebrate Usta's work. Usta subtly tells Djall to take care of everything. The woman compliments Djall on "his" work.
That night, Djall is upset with his teacher for taking credit for his work again. Usta comes back drunk and reprimands Djall for slipping and embarrassing him. Djall gives him a drink and then punches him for stealing his glory again. They throw insults at each other. Then Usta punches Djall. Later, Djall tries to paint a new piece when the lady from earlier (Maisey) comes to his chambers to send fabric requests from the queen. She tells him she knows it has been his creations Usta has been taking credit for and that she despises Usta for the way he treats him. She touches Djall tenderly and departs with a dark look.
Sometime later, Usta tells Djall off for trying to put his own initials on another sculpture, which once again he takes credit for, much to Djall's hatred. Throughout the days and months, Djall grows increasingly angry at his master while a dark presence looms over him, tempting him into killing Usta. He finally succumbs and kills Usta, transforming into a demon in the process. Maisey welcomes him to a whole new world.
Present Day
At Halliwell Manor, Piper and Phoebe are worried about Paige, who hasn't answered any of their calls. Phoebe suggests calling Shaina. Piper is about to scry for her again when Leo orbs in, saying he hasn't been able to sense her. On the phone, Shaina asks Phoebe if she has seen Paige as she has been calling for her over an hour to ask for her help with a cut. Phoebe asks her to call them if she hears anything. Piper's phone rings. It's from Marlene urging for her help: the crew and cops are all acting crazy at P3.
Piper and Phoebe are heading out when "Paige" and "Gabe" appear at the front door, claiming they were attacked by Djall. The sisters depart for P3.
In the Underworld, Paige tends to a weakened Gabe. There, she finds Elise, who asks where they are.
At the club, Piper and Phoebe find the possessed people, including Elise and Darryl. The two toss energy balls at the sisters. They then realize Paige was also possessed and call for Leo. Leo hears Piper's call and prepares to go help them when Gabe throws an energy ball at him. With Leo out of reach, Piper and Phoebe are left on their own, barricaded behind a bar table. Meanwhile, Djall is witnessing the event through a looking glass. Maisey tells him not to gloat too early.
