Isabella Marshall is a minor character mentioned in the book, Picture Perfect. She was Lucile Marshall's mother.
History[]
Isabella was a successful artist, who married an East Coast banker. When her marriage turned sour, Isabella did the bravest thing for a woman in her time: she divorced her husband, resumed her maiden name, and returned home to San Francisco. She met and married William Lancaster. Though her art was a success, it tore at her marriage as William found her talents threatening to his own ambitions. When he began to exert control, Isabella rebelled with help from her friend and fellow artist, Miranda Nance, who practiced Egyptian magic.
They trapped William's soul inside a portrait, and concealed it in a mural. Unfortunately, Isabella lacked the heart to dispose of William's body and simply hid it. She continued to live out her life with her daughter until her passing.[1]
