The House of Life was a temple in Egypt, employed with scribes and magicians throughout the country.
History[]
Tyler Carlson wormed his way into joining the House of Life with Paige Matthews's help, claiming to be a scribe of powerful magic.
Piper and Phoebe Halliwell were imprisoned for breaking into the temple and kidnapping Hoptith (an evil sorceress cursed into cat form). A battle ensued when Hoptith summoned creatures from the Egyptian carvings to keep them from stopping her plan for revenge. Piper and Phoebe managed to defeat the monsters with Tipket and Mailin's help. They then located Tyler and Paige before Hoptith's Skull Headed Demons dropped in and killed Tyler.
Hoptith was eventually turned back into a cat and returned to the priestess's custody.[1]
