The Empath Blocking Potion can permanently ward off an empath's power to keep their emotions from being read. While it is effective in blocking emotions from being read magically, should the drinker experience extremely intense emotions, such as deep hatred or grief, the potion's effect can be broken through.[1]
Its main ingredient is the Kotochul Egg, which is very hard to find in the Swamp Land.
One might experience side-effects, such as nausea.
History[]
Chris Halliwell comes to the Underworld to ask a Potion Sorcerer for an empath blocking potion. Unfortunately, his stash has run out. Chris goes to find an egg and gives it to the potion sorcerer.
After it was finished, Chris gives it to Leo saying he is purchasing it to keep Phoebe's new power from further making things difficult between herself and her sisters. After Leo took off, Chris demands the sorcerer to make another vial for him.
Later, both Piper and Paige take the potion and Phoebe confirms it works. Chris drinks his potion moments later.[1]
Only on two occasions, Phoebe felt emotions from those who drank the potion. Chris, when he was lucid dreaming[2] and when he felt intense anger toward Leo for abandoning him to help everyone else, somehow broke through the potion's protection and allowed Phoebe to feel his emotions.[3]
