Charmed

Dr. Carter Haywood was Paige Matthews's old philosophy professor from Berkeley University. He got fired for talking about aliens and UFOs. He was a fan of Spinoza and Martin Heidegger.

History[]

Haywood was initially ecstatic to learn about otherworldly life forms. His obsession with the subject ultimately cost him his life, but he continued his research, which attracted Meg Winship's attention. Ultimately he came to realize that these life forms weren't friendly and ceased his work altogether. Meanwhile, Meg continued to pursue the matter and came across the Others, an otherworldly demon who wished to wreak havoc on Earth.

Paige Matthews visited him to find out what he knew about aliens to investigate a series of weird phenomena where women are abducted for brief moments then reappearing in their homes with no memory of what occurred and with a deep obsession for exercise. When he refused to answer her questions, she decided to show him her power to encourage him to talk. Though he was led to believe she was an alien, he was still too afraid to answer and merely gave her a book he published to find clues.

Paige tried to talk to him again, but he was found murdered by two of Meg's brainwashed followers moments after she entered the house.

Appearances[]

Dr. Carter Haywood appeared in a total of 1 non-canonical novel throughout the franchise.
