History[]
First Camera[]
Nikos's camera was an antique, owned by Hades's family. The youngest son, Nikos, gave it to Prue Halliwell for her photo shoot. When she pressed the button, all the mortal models fell into a deep slumber and their souls were taken to the Underworld called "Hades". Since the sisters were witches, they were immune to the camera's magic and had to temporarily lift their powers to make it effective, so that they could enter Hades and have their powers intact as soon as they entered.
After Nikos sent them back to Earth, Piper and Prue waited a day before they used the camera again to save Phoebe and the models' souls.
Second Camera[]
Mitchell Pearl brought a second cursed camera while on a date with Prue. He was ordered to send her soul to Hades so that the Power of Three would be rendered useless. However, she profoundly refused. Not wanting to make himself suspicious, Mitchell complied with her wishes.[1]
