The Cold Vanquishing Potion is an impromptu healing recipe invented and frequently altered by Paige Matthews in her attempt to vanquish sickness.

History

Wyatt Halliwell developed a cold. Paige created this potion to cure him. However, it instead transferred to herself. Paige continuously changed the recipe (replacing ingredients and altering the spell) to perfect it, but it merely forced the cold from one person to another: Leo, Phoebe, Piper, and then back to herself. In the end, Paige used the potion one last time to transfer her sickness to the demon, Indar. By vanquishing the demon, the cold was effectively vanquished as well.

First Version

Ingredients: Sage, mugwort, chamomile flowers, red clover and echinacea.

Boil it all together as you would a vanquishing potion, then toss at the sick. Chant these words:

Sickness like an evil, loosen your bond.

Vanquished are you. Be gone.

Variations

Boil different healing ingredients together—fenugreek (in place of red clover and mugwort), eucalyptus (instead of chamomile), and astralagus (instead of sage and echinacea) as you would a vanquishing potion, then toss at the sick. Chant these words:

Bad health, disappear.

Banished are you. Go away from here.

Final Variation

Notes and Trivia

• This potion counts as an act of personal gain since Paige was using magic in an attempt to cure a regular cold, hence why the consequence caused everyone in the house to fall prey to the sickness after each failure.
