Cerberus was a three-headed hellhound that was featured in the e-book novel, Let Gorgons Be Gorgons.
Its job was to guard the River Styx in the Underworld to keep its waters from being touched by anyone.
History[]
The beast was guarding the River Styx. It could smell magic and could devour any living being. Cole Turner, a being that hovered between life and death, was able to distract it long enough for Coop Halliwell to collect water from the river. Then Coop used his Cupid magic to get the hellhound's attention, and it lunged at him. Coop then beamed out of the way and Cerberus dove right into the river.
Notes and Trivia[]
- In "I Dream of Phoebe", the skeletons of Hellhounds who guarded Zanbar are seen. These hounds have have had two heads, a possible reference to Cerberus.
- In Soul of the Bride, Cerberus was the first creature to be sent by Nikos to attack the Charmed Ones after he took the souls of five models to Hades. Cerberus appeared in the attic and tried to attack them. Phoebe used a broken lamp to burst the hound into flames, killing him. Piper was able to recognize him from her knowledge on Greek mythology.
Appearances[]
Cerberus appeared in a total of 1 non-canonical novel and 1 canonical e-book novel throughout the franchise.
